Changes toThe Inspection Service Industry in Sydney NSW
In September 2009 there was some information released by the Department of Fair Trading regarding Building Consultant licensing that effects building inspectors in Sydney
Effective 16 September 2009, building consultancy work is no longer regulated under the Home Building Act in NSW. This means that building consultancy work is no longer licensed by Fair Trading.
What does this mean?
It means when you are ordering a Building Inspection you need to be very careful about who you are hiring – ensure they are fully qualified and fully insured.
We check this by inspecting our inspectiors.
Building Inspectors should be fully qualified builders – with the full ability to become a licensed builder.
Since this has happen we have had some customers ring us asking if we could Redo the report they just had done, one of these reports stated they could Not inspect the subfloor or the roof void this is Lazy inspectors or untrained in this area, dont wast your money on the untrained.
